Had a fire 3 yrs ago and just retained a couple of 500 GB External hard drives but, no AC adapters. The first one is, a SeaGate DeskTop 12V output, 2AMP 3.0 USB. P/N 9ZH9P77-RAA. With an, SS computer plug on it The second one is a Western Digital, MDL: WD5000D032-000. I know that it is 12V But not sure if it is a 2 AMP or a 3 AMP. it has, what appears to be, 3 plugs. One computer and , 2 fire wire. The DC plugs are differant size per each model or P/N. If you could help me figure this out? it would greatly appreciated and, I could retain some of the files that were thought to be lost in the fire. Thank you for your time. KA
Hi Kit. As far as the Amperage and Voltage of power supply, it is simple. They are both 12 Volt, so you can use the same adapter for both. In this case, since one is 2 Amp, and the other 3 Amp, you will use the higher rated one. The 3 Amp, which is the maximum load you can put on the power supply, will work for both. As far as the connector, all our power supplies come with a standard 5.5mm x 2.5mm DC connector. You will see if this matches your device.
I am looking for a ac-dc 12v power adapter for a wall mounted Encore AM/FM Cassette recorder/player Model 7677 by Electro Brand. This unit was in a Park Model home that we just purchased, the unit seems good but is missing the 12v power adapter. I believe that it requires to be center pin +, and I think according to what info I have is Part no. 78w. What greatly appreciate any help that I can get, so that I can power up the recorder and check it out. Any brand of adapter is probably OK, as long as the pin diameter and polarity is correct, I believe that the outside diameter of the connector would be 5mm, Many thanks, Tom
Hi Tom.. It looks like you need a basic 12V Power Supply. For a load of 78 Watts, you will need to divide the wattage by the voltage, to find out the amperage. In this case it is 78 divided by 12, giving you 6.5A (Amps). You always round up for amperage. So the power supply you need is the Standard or UL Listed 12 Volt, 7 Amp, power supply.
I have been told to get this, can you direct me to a product ASAP 12-volt 1.5 Amp Output. Power Supply Barrel: Outside 5.5mm Inside 2.5mm Center positive

Hi, I am looking for a standard 12 volt/2 Amp cable with a barrel that Calle Baughurstis 5.5mm on the outside, and 2.5mm on the inside - center pin positive.
Hi ML. All the power supplies on this site come with the standard 5.5mm x 2.5mm barrel. They all center positive. So any of the 12 volt power supplies will match the connector that you need.
